Farm Food HE Scottish Salmon Oil

During tests, it has been shown that some dogs benefit even more from Farm Food HE when the previously used linseed oil is replaced by Scottish salmon oil. Some other dogs, however, seem to benefit more from the current formulation with linseed oil. For this reason, we have decided to offer Farm Food HE, together with our current trusted formulation with linseed oil (listed as Classic), with Scottish salmon oil (listed as Scottish salmon oil). There is no difference in analysis (and nutrition) between the current formulation Farm Food HE Classic and Farm Food HE Scottish salmon oil.

The only difference is that flaxseed oil is vegetable and salmon oil is animal. This could explain any difference between the two foods, as salmon oil has relatively more of the omega-3 fats EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DPA (docosapentanoic acid) than vegetable oils. One dog benefits more from these fats than another, as can be shown by, among other things, the following:

• Stools : One dog has the best stools while eating Farm Food HE Classic and the other while eating Farm Food HE Scottish Salmon Oil, so if you are not happy with your dog's stools, try switching to the other Farm Food HE.
• Skin and coat : The differences in omega 3 fats can also have an effect on dogs' skin and coat. So the same applies here, if you are not happy with your dog's skin and coat, switch to the other Farm Food HE. However, keep in mind that it may take a while before the changes/improvements become visible.
• Smell : The differences between vegetable linseed oil and animal salmon oil also have an effect on the smell of the food. This is why one dog may prefer Farm Food HE Classic and another Farm Food HE Scottish Salmon Oil.

Farm Food is a natural food and does not contain artificial antioxidants or preservatives. Unopened best before date: see stamp. Shelf life when opened: 3 months. Best before date: see stamp. It is important that Farm Food HE is stored in a cool, dark place where the open bag can “breathe”. Therefore, never store Farm Food HE in a closed plastic container. When the food is sealed, the taste may change. Dogs can smell it much better than we can.
